The Abstract Art movement took place in the United states in the 1940s and became a dominant trend in western painting in the 1950s. It establishes relations first of all with the spirit and then with soul. In this movement artist began exploring expression of emotions and feelings through abstract art, gestural mark-making and imposing color fields. These artists came to be known as Abstract Expressionists. Abstract Art has no subject, its rather just line, shapes, and colors all together, trying to convey some kind of emotion. In my abstract paintings, I try to depict forms unrealistically. Having the freedom to paint in free expression spontaneously is so relaxing. In my abstract paintings, I focus on the medium itself without representation of subject which allows me to paint my subconsciousness mind on canvas. An artist working in an abstract way might want to make something striking and beautiful. Their art might be pure and simple.
The viewer gets inspired from the hidden meaning which has been painted in painting and can be inspired from the creative expression of the artist. Current exhibition is covering different varieties of paintings including abstract expressionism. Modern and abstract paintings will be on display. It's a great initiative to have this exhibition for the artist and many people will get the chance to view it.
