Rubab Javed

   My work is based on the concept of embroidery and fabric. The feel of the fabric and the texture is very unique.In my point of view embroidery and the concept of doing miniature is quite similar, because both the techniques are similar to each other, they are done with delicacy and in a very intricate way. As I was a child, I used to see my mother and grandmother doing these things and I really got amazed with the stuff, but due to time I couldn’t get any time to learn this, so now as a miniature artist I brought that theme in my work not the real embroidery but I paint it now. In my recent and previous works I have been painting fabric of cross stitch, threads, embroidery and now I am painting net. The medium I am working on is gouache on handmade paper  and sometimes collage also.
