During my childhood I spent most of my time at my mother’s dance studio in Buenos Aires, where my interest in human and non-human bodies and movement originated. Following the 2001 economic collapse in Argentina, my family moved to Philadelphia where we now reside. After personally experiencing the impact of political conflict, I developed a strong interest in depicting political and socio-economic struggle through personal perspectives. Currently, I’m engaging in practice-led research aimed at dismantling cognitive barriers that enable systemic oppression. For social transformation to occur, activists must focus on creating a space for open conversation and effective communication. The main aim of my practice-led research is to fabricate a non-threatening environment where we are free to explore innovative and challenging concepts relating to social justice.
