To me, painting has always been much more than being a medium of expression alone. Painting is my very existence. This is through the canvas and color that I experience my being. This is what I breathe. This is how I let my spirit of freedom fly high into a world where there are no boundaries. A deliberate digression from the emphasis on exquisite perfection in form lets me be who I am in my paintings. . . . After all, even that symmetry in form is somewhat a bondage of its own kind. . . Women, liberty, joy, ecstacy and the courage to be who you are constitute the major themes of my work.
