Shiblee Munir
My work is about the experiences of my life where I survive amidst the (cunning) set rules, which make me vulnerable to obey such obligation that has been penetrated in our lives tangible or intangibly; where I find they are the last word and I no longer exist. My Work is my own world where I try to depict my ideas humbly, that is why I use collages (a minimal source of creating an action) as a metaphor to voice my thoughts .yet to me each move denotes a galaxy of meanings rather than a rigid last word. According to my traditional family background and my deep interest in “unfaithful History” reinforced current body of work. Generally, deliberations are centered to produce equally high embellished art, with the help of all those formal method, which was done in Mughal atelier. However, my conceptual concerns encompass on social belief of society. I raise question through my art practices, on society’s preconceived understanding towards History whom we worship like divine orders, in our lives. While formal concerns, of making an image; adopting the behavior, similar to history makers mere to make another history whilst having the biased approach, creating Irony through overlapping of the images taken by History of Miniature paintings, rearrangement of objects/figures and design are appropriated that glimpse in first sight a Hilarious Visual but simultaneously it provokes a sense of particular realization of maneuvering towards past Present and future.
