World may been created with a word but language in itself was at first a picture. Visuals have power far greater to sear through the pages of shared human experience than any other form of expression. In today's society where expansionist mind-set is at last a crime and cultural correctness is taking its first steps, the people of Indo-Pak region are facing true crises: identity. My idea is to extend and built upon my existing area of interest: Colonialism. It‟s a phenomenon shared by continents and remains till date the biggest driving force of change. By showing the bizarre reality of a formerly colonized society, its inability to trace its way back to aboriginality and the utter sadness of its humor, i intend to highlight the facets of our personal and communal lives affected by the situation. My work will incorporate traditional miniature techniques employed to depict the irreversible hybridity through a layer of animated and humorous subjects. The animation and humor tend to focus on one single idea: tragedy. These elements have so highly integrated in life-codes that we fail to realize the enormity of the impact. Highlighting such subservient and overt contours both is the first step towards either their sympathetic reduction or an outright emphatic eradication from our society.
